    Men's Sheds Canada is a volunteer-based organization, run by men for men, which facilitates and enables older men to gather, socialize and make new relationships while working on individual projects or group projects, shoulder to shoulder.

    The goal of Men's Sheds is to improve emotional well-being, combat isolation, anxiety, loneliness and depression within men, particularly older men.

    Airplane! is a comedy movie about Ted Striker, who has just been dumped by his long-time girlfriend Elaine Dickinson, who works as a stewardess at Trans American Airlines.     This class is for everyBODY 50+! Come join Marla Howard on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a mix of strength, cardio, mobility, and a whole lot of fun!

    Tuesday classes will have an upper body focus and Thursday classes will be lower body focus. Abs and core are in every class. We will use a variety of equipment such as free weights, resistance bands, and kettlebells.

    Different levels will be shown and you can choose own pace and your own level! Proper form and movement mechanics will always be shown and there are always options for varying levels of fitness.

    Join our eight-week Falls Prevention Steady Moves Series, back again for a second session this Fall 2025! Each week features a 1.5-hour session including a 30-minute expert-led talk on evidence-based falls prevention strategies, followed by a 1-hour strength and balance exercise session led by Erynn Biggar.

    Eligibility Criteria Age: 

    • Living Situation: living independently in your own home.
    • Mobility: Must walk independently without assistive devices (e.g., canes, walkers, wheelchairs). 
    • Physical Activity: Capable of participating in exercises without assistance and managing movements independently.
